I like to curl up
with a good book in the evenings. Currently, I'm into
Cervantes. Of course I'm reading a translation. My
Spanish is a little weak.

When Mom isn't
looking, we like to try and break into the canaries' feeder box.
Duke (the canary cowering behind his toy on the left) blew the
whistle on us, and as you can see, Mom caught us in the act.

I like to sit on
the people perches with Mom and Dad, but it's hard for an active
girl to be too passive - so Mom got me some "foot toys". She
says I should chew on these instead of her, but I'm not quite
convinced yet.

I like to select
my own "foot toys". Here I'm doing my best to look cute and
innocent. It took Dad a moment or two before he realized I'm
holding his lense cap.

We have this
great bird-gym Mom made for us with a tension rod, some cotton rope,
and a few good dangling toys. I work out at this "gym" every
chance I get. As you can see, I'm a regular Tarzan!

When Mom and Dad
finish a box of tissues, Mom pulls the plastic lining out and fills
it with goodies (sunflower and pumpkin seeds fruit bits). Then
I get it as a "foraging toy" - this will keep me entertained for
quite a while - I like to drag the box around the floor of my cage,
attack it, chew it, and stick my head in the hole to grab the
goodies.. Here I am extracting a bit of fresh banana.

Like Pakshi, I
enjoy the gym, too - but my favorite parts are the boing-boing (I'm
sitting on it here) and the spiral ladder - which I've chewed down
to nearly nothing (the bottom rung is just above my head).

My team lost! |

Dad has taught us
all to appreciate the rudiments of cricket and Australian-Rules
Football. Dad is an avid cricket lover, and me? I think
the bats and wickets look like great chewing material. We keep
an eye on our teams, but as you can see, I don't handle it well when
my team loses.

In one of her
more creative moments, Mom built a play stand using a coat-tree.
Since it sits next to my cage, I consider this my personal space -
and will defend it if anybody else gets too close.

One task that we
all enjoy is working on our website. Here I'm helping Mom out
by doing a little of the typing myself.

We like to keep
Mom looking her best. I've been studying cosmetology in my
spare time, and here I'm checking Mom's dye job to make sure her
roots aren't showing.

We like to go
walkabout whenever we can. Here you see us exploring Jesse's
cage (this was a week or so before she came home
from the breeder). We were having a great time
checking out the boing-boing and the huge cups when Mom came along
and . . . closed the door on us!

Mom and Dad have their cameras out and we're posing now. |
